Hemisferium Canterbury's Quadrant Replica Sundial (Pack of 1)
Hemisferium Canterbury's Quadrant Replica Sundial (Pack of 1)
This piece is a sundial for prayers and mass hour.
The original jewel was found in an archaeological dig at the House of Agnes, in Canterbury, England. It is believed to date from 1388 and is currently held in the British Museum in London.
The dial must be hung up facing the sun to find the time like any other altitude sundial, introducing the little bar on the corresponding Month´s hole.
The exquisitely detailed replica dial has been updated for London’s latitude, 50º.
Historical interest and its beautiful design is brought to life in this Canterbury Quadrant.
The instrument allows you to carry around a fantastic piece of historic science and represents a time of astronomical wonder.
The Quadrant measures 80mm in length, 27mm across and 6mm thick.
