This model is a reproduction of a mobile cubic quadrant that dates back to 1736 and is thought to be the invention of German scientific instrument maker, David Beringer.

It is a universal dial meaning it can be used at all latitudes and made up of an articulated arm which allows the user to position the cube in a North-South direction, and a plumb line on the Eastern side that moves along a graduated scale, which allows users to adapt the instrument to the latitude of their location.

The model measures 190mm in height and 140mm wide.

Material: MDF tainted and polished, crystal glass over magnetic compass, colour printed paper, brass bathed.
